- develop a service that meets the needs of both schools and jobseekers
- improve the quality of job listings and make it easy for them to be widely shared
- make job listing data freely available to other organisations so they can use it to build new products
- provide DfE with real-time actionable data and insights
Design iterations
This was my first public sector project at dxw, and the service was already in public beta. My primary responsibility was managing design iterations and continuous improvement for the project. Here are some of the tasks I worked on:
- Job post lifecycle and duplicate job function
I led the review of the job lifecycle for the team and developed a flow that covered all use cases, allowing us to determine the optimal timing and placement for displaying the duplicate job option.

- Expired job status
I helped create a section for listing all expired jobs on the individual school admin page.

- Job seeker alert
I added the job seeker alert function to the public-facing interface and integrated it with GOV.UK Notify to create the email templates.

- Newly qualified teacher (NQT) flag
I led the review of the job publishing process and implemented UI changes to indicate whether a job is suitable for newly qualified teachers (NQTs).
